This review is of DW as a compamy and not just this specific gym. If you are thinking of signing up with them be warned! They are scammers, they are rude, they have to morals, no customer service to speak off, no ethics and they completely disregard consumer rights. Their contracts are illegal and in breach of consumer rights act. Yet they try to enforce them by harassing people and instructing debt collectors. My review is not the only one to say this, so this is a wide spread practice for them. If you think of signing up with them - don't! You will live to regret it when they won't let you cancel and harras you 3 years down the line. If you already signed up and want to cancel, report them to Citizen Advice Bureu. They will report then to trading standards. The more reports they get, the sooner they will act.
I have been a member of DW for over 3 years.I was very nervous about the whole gym environment, and was reluctant to join one.After joining DW I knew I had done the right thing. This gym has such a nice feel to it. Everyone is friendly, the staff are excellent and always go out of their way to greet you on arrival.Members of this gym are like a big family and you never feel uncomfortable about going on your own.The classes are well run and the enthusiasm is excellent.The facilities at the gym are very good.The gym has gone from strength to strength since the latest manager came on board. He get things done and ensures problems (if any) are resolved. He has been very helpful to me and my family within the gym. I would highly recommend this gym if you live within this area. My experience of DW Ipswich is first class. The staff are always so helpful and happy and nothing is too much trouble for them.The classes are well prepared and excellent.I would highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a nice friendly atmosphere. The gym continues to improve since the new Manager took over a year or so ago.
Came one Friday using my multi club membership (my usual Fitness First is in London). Staff couldnt be more helpful, great facilities and loads of space. Only thing missing is a sauna, but otherwise I cant fault it!
Rude managing staff.Poo in the showers.Dirty hairy floor in the changing room,stretching area.Female cleaner with glasses should stop lie and do the job properly and on time.Good food in cafe though .After many years with DW I left.
