For a practice this large, they sure get a lot of things right. And they seem to be constantly improving. We all know how stretched services are but the receptionists always have a friendly and helpful disposition. There are times that service has been below par but they are constantly working towards getting better. Kudos to the management.
This practice does try you know there is effort. But as an 'end user' you feel there is no real warmth, you are a cog in a machine . The reception staff could do with a training I felt. They dont go out of thier way to help you or themselves I feel. All the good doctors from the practice that merged seemed to have left or retired. You never see the same doctor and 'your doctor is nominated for you! I remember the day you chose your doctor and you saw them and built a relationship? Not here!! At times I felt like I was being spoken to like a child. Frankly I believe a move is on the cards. Clearly a practice under pressure. I wish them well, but without me probably...... (edited post script some months later) I moved within the same month of writing to a practice in town. ORCHARD ST SURGERY. Horrified to hear a move to Two rivers site is being discussed. I can't seem to leave that practice as hard as I try. A terrible move I feel. It does not bode well.
Arrived for appointment to find a waiting room full of people. No receptionist. Nowhere to sign in. Was told by other people you just sit and wait and someone will call you. Quickly identified from around the room that they were running over an hour late. Ridiculous. Tried phoning a Bury number but was on hold for 15 minutes.
Service has improved vastly, extremely helpful receptionist. I was seen fairly quickly, by a very helpful doctor. Would definitely recommend
Lattice Avenue was my surgery for over 50 years. Unfortunately, this Surgery has gone downhill since relocation to Two Rivers losing the personal touch. Receptionists could do with improving their customer service skills too.
