The service is very nice, if you can pay the extortionate price. Just to have a consultation is - no exaggeration about 200.... at another vets I paid nothing to see the vet - just paid for jabs, NOT A POCKET FRIENDLY PLACE. It would be better placed in Kensington not Ipswich lol! They called me and asked for the money, despite the fact I had none fell on deaf ears. The only perk is out of hours emergency service (eg Sunday nights).
I've been at the practice three years with my elderly dog. Although I have found each of the vets knowledgable and kind, the reception and management staff are often unhelpful. On more than one occasion I have also found that I have been handed less drugs than I have paid for, the first time resulting in having to pay twice as they refused to accept the error. Despite the size of the practice I have also frequently found they do not hold the amount of medication I need, despite the vet promising a stock would be available. In the end the constant, frustrating administrative errors, rude staff and poor service have made me return to my old practice.
Have taken our dog and cats here for years and have always received excellent care. Then, when we took our 13 year old dog in this morning with severe syptoms they were able to carry out blood tests and an abdominal scan on site within the hour saving her further suffering and travel. The staff were wonderful and very caring when we returned giving us time in a private room to say our goodbyes before putting her to sleep.I can't speak highly enough of the professionalism and level of care at this practice.
Called up to make an emergency appointment in the evening and they saw me as promised. Unlike a lot of vets they didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. Simply gave my cat the once over, injection of antibiotics & cleaned him up. No fuss or anything. Will certainly come here again in the future.
