I go to the Beauty Place because they are one of the only places in Ipswich to do hot waxing (as opposed to strip wax) and always have last minute availability. I can also rely on them to do a good job.Most of the girls here are absolutely lovely, but Maria (the owner) always uses the time that I'm a captive audience to do a hard sell on their laser treatments. Despite having used the salon seven times,and usually with Maria, she can never remember me, which is a shame as most beauticians offer a more personal service, and I also get lectured about laser hair removal every time I visit.Maria also always makes a big deal about having to use hot wax on me instead of strip, because it takes longer. I am willing to pay for her time if it takes extra,so I don't understand why she feels the need to effectively whinge at me about it.The final straw came today when I presented my loyalty card to Maria when it came to payment,but instead of giving me the 25% off I was due according to the card, she simply crossed it out and said that I couldn't have my discount. End of conversation!The other girls here are lovely and I always have a good job done here, whoever treats me, but I am so fed up with Maria's attitude that I am only rating her salon two stars.
Great range of treatments for female and male clients, this lovely beauty salon has expanded and improved over the years, yet still maintains a friendly and professional attitude to customers. Their website has a enquiry box directly linked to the treatments list: I find that they are highly responsive to booking appointments via this method, often getting one earlier than expected. Parking can often be a problem as it is amongst a parade of shops, but there are plenty of residential streets nearby to find a space.
